Two young men sustained serious injuries in separate road accidents on Kalapatti Road and Trichy Road in Coimbatore on August 25. East Traffic Investigation Wing has registered cases and launched inquiries into both incidents involving reckless driving.
Coimbatore: Two young men were left with grievous injuries following separate road accidents that occurred on Kalapatti Road and Trichy Road in the city. The East Traffic Investigation Wing has registered cases in both incidents and launched detailed investigations.
On August 25, on Kalapatti Road,Jeyaprakash (23), a resident of Periyadasampalayam in Aravakurichi, Karur district, was riding his motorcycle when a Tata Ace goods vehicle allegedly driven at high speed by Anthony (55), a resident of Nehru Nagar, collided with Jeyaprakash's motorcycle.
The impact of the collision left Jeyaprakash with serious injuries to his hip, left knee and ankle. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in an ambulance where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
In a separate accident on the same day, Abdul Qader (22), a native of Saharsa district in Bihar, was attempting to cross Trichy Road when he was struck by a motorcycle. The two-wheeler was allegedly being ridden by Guruprasad (18), a resident of Kamatchipuram, Ondipudur.
Abdul Qader sustained severe injuries to his right knee, nose and forehead in the accident. He was shifted by an ambulance to the government hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
