No Food Waste in its community kitchens across the cities has served 4,77,434 meals to the needy from day 1 of lockdown. The NGO has also distributed 5,137 ration kits and health kits to daily wagers and people who are not covered under PDS systems with support from Reliance Foundation, Zomato Feeding India and SEEDS, Delhi.
Today No Food Waste team distributed kits to identified beneficiaries in Ward no 6 of Kavundampalayam . The kit was sponsored by SEEDS, Delhi and it contained 10kgs rice, 5 kgs Dhal, 2 kgs dhal, 1 kg salt, sugar and oil. A health kit with handwash, soaps, detergent, towel, sanitary pads and disinfectant liquid was distributed along with the ration kit.
