Jammu & Kashmir: 25 killed in twin road mishaps

At least 25 people were killed and over 40 injured in two separate road accidents near Reasi and Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday.

Sources said that 22 passengers were killed and nearly 30 others, including women and children, were injured when a 42-seater passenger bus rolled into a 300-ft deep gorge near Reasi. While nearly a dozen people died on the spot, others succumbed to their injuries on way to the district hospital at Reasi.

Meanwhile, three people were killed and 14 others injured when a tempo in which they were travelling fell into a gorge near Jamola in Rajouri.

Police have registered separate cases in connection with both the accidents.
