CCMC Commissioner and Special Officer, Sravan Kumar Jatavath presided over the event. CCMC Deputy Commissioner, S Prasanna Ramasamy and Anbu Abraham, the Managing Director of TNSTC also participated in the event.

S P Velumani inaugurated the children's playground which had a compound wall, estimated at about Rs.13.80 lakhs constructed in G.R.G Nagar, 91st ward, South Zone,Coimbatore Corporation and also for LED poles along the streets near CS Academy School, 90th Ward, Kovaipudur which is estimated at about Rs. 9.90 lakhs.

The Minister for Municipal Administration and RDI also flagged off a bus service that will be operational both in the morning and evening for the convenience of public in Madukkarai and Anna Nagar. He further inaugurated three borewells that had been dug in the area at a cost of Rs.25.90 lakhs, funded by the Slum Clearance Board.
Lakshmanan, Corporation Engineer, Assistant Commissioner D R Ravi, Executive Engineer Gnanavel and other Corporation officials were also present along with the public at the inaugural event.
