Coimbatore : On the occasion of the completion of the 100 Days of “Running challenge” all chapters of Coimbatore Runners converged at Saibaba Colony to celebrate the occasion.
Coimbatore : On the occasion of the completion of the 100 Days of “Running challenge” all chapters of Coimbatore Runners converged at Saibaba Colony to celebrate the occasion.
On this occasion, a 5 to 7 km run was organized by Saibaba Colony Chapter which was used as an all-group training run to promote the up-coming Vodafone Coimbatore Marathon 2019 (VCM).

The event was flagged off by Sujit Kumar IPS, SP of Coimbatore District.
A total of 175 runners from various chapters of Coimbatore Runners took part in the run.

The runners who logged maximum aggregate distance for the 100 days were honoured. Three male runners and three female runners were felicitated.
Sujit Kumar gave away the prizes to the Male runners, Varun Aravind Banuchandar N.R (both Saibaba colony Chapter) and Sreenivasan from Codissia chapter.

Ramesh Ponnuswami, the Race Director of Coimbatore Marathon gave away the prizes to female runners, Latha Srinivasan (Saibaba Colony) Haripriya Rangarajan ( G. V. Residency) and Vidya Ramanathan (Saibaba Colony).

In addition, Eco Organic Stays came forward to sponsor a night’s stay in one of their resorts in Nilgiris to the top male runner Varun Aravind and top female runner Latha Srinivasan. The celebration ended with breakfast hosted by Saibaba Colony Chapter.
