Coimbatore: The Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) has recognised Ganga Medical Centre and Hospitals as a 'Centre for Quality Promotion' (CQP).
As a drive for excellent service quality, CAHO has chosen Ganga Medical Centre & Hospitals to function as CQP, the 25th centre recognized in India.
The recognition has been awarded for the hospital for it's sustained high performance, since its inception six decades back. From a humble fifteen bed clinic to a 500-bed Super speciality, Ganga hospital performs over 25000 surgeries and treats more than 2 lakh outpatients, every year.
In recognition to its patient quality and safety, the hospital has been accredited with National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) in the year 2012 and National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) in the year 2019.
It may be recalled that Ganga Hospital also won the prestigious IMC Bajaj Excellence Trophy and AHPI award in the year 2019 for quality patient care.
Ganga Hospital, in association with CAHO organised a three-day training programme on CPQIH (Certified Professional for Quality Implementation in Hospitals) between August 1-3. Dr.Vijay Agarwal, President, CAHO presided over the inauguration.
