Coimbatore: A mini-van carrying women employees from a private concern in Chinnamathampalayam met with a terrifying accident today in the Mettupalayam Road.
Coimbatore: A mini-van carrying women employees from a private concern in Chinnamathampalayam met with a terrifying accident today on the Mettupalayam Road.
This mini van was operated by Sathish Vasan and was carrying women employees back from work. The mini van was stationary when the government bus travelling between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam crashed into the mini van from behind.
This completely destabilised the van and made it topple, thus leaving 13 women severely injured.
Fortunately for those in the van, the public who were near the spot of the accident, immediately rushed to the rescue of the injured. With the help of an ambulance, the injured were shifted to a private hospital in Periyanaickenpalayam.
Out of the 13 injured, Saraswati and Lalithamani were admitted to the ICU for critical treatment.
The Periyanaickenpalayam Police were immediately alerted of the accident. They visited the accident spot and filed a case.
