Satya Kala addressed the press today to clarify on various issues. "I was not abducted but was staying with my parents in my native place, Pollachi. I have refrained from participating in promotional activities of the film because I did not like the approach of the production team who are seeking vengeance against me and looking for negative publicity for the film. I was have been paid only Rs.50,000 out of the one lakh that was agreed as my payment. I did not have a problem with the payment since the story of the movie was impressive," she added.

When questioned if she had faced any sexual abuse, Satya Kala refused to answer but reiterated that she wanted the production team to issue an unconditional public apology for defaming her parents. She also added that that the production house had tried to negotiate with her through a mediator, but she had already decided to file a defamation case against them, if need be.

Satya Kala stated that she had called for a press briefing just to clarify on the controversy surrounding her and the production house, and to put a stop to the rumours that were rife. She was accompanied by her father Rathinam, mother Bharathi and her advocate for the press briefing.
