The Nilgiris : A Special medical camp and awareness programme for the differently-abled children was organised in Coonoor under the aegis of the Integrated School Scheme
Over 150 differently-abled children were checked for medical conditions such as malfunctioning of eyes, ears, throat, hands, legs and brain.
Differently-abled children from birth to 18 years benefited by the camp.
"Issuing of identity cards, arranging surgeries, admitting children in school were included in the seven-point plan" said the organizers.
Based on the recommendation of the District Collector, Organizer Kumar, Zonal Education officer Karthik, Zonal Organizer Padmavathi and others participated.
Government doctors and nurses rendered their service to the differently-abled in this special camp.
