Coimbatore: Around 69 petitions were received on the grievence day held at City Corporation Office on Wednesday.
The grievance day was presided by Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer Sravan Kumar.

Public from various parts of the city submitted their petitions requesting basic facilities like drinking water, street lights, road facilities and sanitation.
Among the 69 petitions, 15 petitions from east zone, 5 from west zone, 9 from North zone, 6 from South zone and 5 from Central zone, were received.

Out of which, five petitions were diverted to Assistant Commissioner (Administration) department, 10 petitions to Urban Development Department, four of them to Urban Welfare department, two petitions to Assistant Executive Engineer (West), two others to Executive Engineer (North), five petitions to Assistant Executive Engineer (North) and one petition to the Engineering Department.
Corporation Commissioner ensured the petitioners of quick action and ordered the concerned authorities to take immediate action on the petitions.
He also issued water tax book to one petitioner from the East Zone.
Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy, District Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Assistant Commissioner T. Ravi, Saravanan, Annadurai, Senthil Kumar Rathinam, A.J Senthil Arasan, M. Selvan, Mahesh Kanagaraj, Urban development officer (planning), Ravichandran, District Welfare Officer Santhosh Kumar and others were present.
