Coimbatore: The Ladies Circle India in association with Sankara Eye Foundation launched Drishyam – Community Eye Care Programme for the needy.

According to the press release from Ladies Circle India, Drishyam which is a PAN India project was launched at Sankara Eye Hospital, Saravanamapatty in Coimbatore on Wednesday by the President of Ladies Circle India GLMF. Cr. Nidhi Gupta along with the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sankara Eye Foundation, India Padmashri awardee Dr. R V Ramani. The incoming Area Chairperson Cr. Shivani Dalmia, outgoing Area Chairperson Cr. Rohini Christopher and LMF. Cr. Srini Bharath the National President Theme Project convenor were also present at the launch.
The National President Cr. Nidhi Gupta said, "In Ladies Circle India's efforts to reach beyond constructing schools and toilet blocks under the theme of Educate to Enlighten, marking its 50th golden year, Drishyam has been launched as a Community Eye Care initiative. Under Drishyam, we aim to ensure that support to comprehensive eye care services are provided across the country."
Drishyam is expected to scale to the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh through Sankara Eye Hospitals.
