Coimbatore: Popular Tamil actor Ajith Kumar fondly known as 'Thala' by his fans is representing the Chennai Rifle Club in the 10 m air pistol category in the ongoing State level shooting competition being held at the PRS Grounds on Avinashi Road here on Wednesday.
The actor’s fans who had queued up to watch him in action clicked pictures of the actor when he arrived at the venue. Upon receiving information that the actor had arrived at the city to participate in the shooting competition, both media members and fans thronged the venue.
However, citing security protocol ordered by City Police Commissioner, Sumit Saran, none of the public or reporters were denied entry into the venue or permitted to click photos.
Members from the Coimbatore Rifle Club, SDAD Shooting Academy, Chennai Rifle Club, Madurai Rifle Club and other clubs are participating in the competition.
