Breaking: Doctor's autopsy report hints at 'unnatural death' of Cashier of Martin Group

Coimbatore: In a major development, Dr P. Sampath Kumar, Vice-Principal, Sri Ramachandra College and Research Institute have submitted his autopsy report of Palanisamy, cashier of Martin group, in which he has stated that there is no conclusive evidence to show that Palanisamy had actually drowned.

"However, there is substantial evidence to show that he had undergone suffocation before his death”.the report said

The first report of findings was submitted by Dr P. Sampath Kumar, MD Forensic to Justice Ramdas, District Criminal Court No:8 on Tuesday. 

Dr Sampath Kumar was among the three doctors who were part of the re-post mortem of Palanisamy who died under suspicious circumstance on May 1 near a water body at Karamadai. 

“While the other two doctors are yet to submit their conclusive report, the report submitted by Dr Sampath Kumar has definitely gone a long- way in pointing to the direction of this case.” say forensic experts

According to the report submitted by Dr Sampath Kumar as per the Diatom test conducted to ascertain whether the death was caused by drowning, it is evident that no diatoms were found in his lungs.

The doctor in his report has categorically ruled out the possibility of death due to drowning.
