Ooty Govt. HQ Hospital commemorates 'Hospital Day' in honour of Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy's birth anniversary

Coimbatore: Even as Government Hospitals across Tamil Nadu celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy on July 30 as ‘Hospital Day’ every year, the Government Head Quarters Hospital in Ooty commemorated 'Hospital Day' paying tribute to Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy.


Coimbatore: Even as Government Hospitals across Tamil Nadu celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy on July 30 as ‘Hospital Day’ every year, the Government Head Quarters Hospital in Ooty commemorated 'Hospital Day' paying tribute to Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy.






Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to the best doctors as well as for the exceptional ambulance services provided by the hospital. A Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Social Welfare Organizations which aided the hospital during disasters.

The special guest at the program was Balasubramanian, the Medical Superintendent. The Chief Resident Doctor Jai Ganesh Murthy, doctors, nurses and staff from the Medical Superintendent's Office participated enthusiastically at the event. 

Funds had been allocated for every Government Hospital for the celebrations, and Hospital day committees were formed to enable hospital staff participate in the celebrations with their families.



Apart from showcasing the facilities, achievements, new initiatives and lifesaving surgeries performed in hospitals and get elected representatives to participate in the development of the hospital, Hospital Day also recognises contributions made by non-governmental organisations, donors and social organisations for the development of the hospital. Doctors, nurses and staff are also motivated to be fully involved in the daily activities of the hospital.
