Coimbatore: Alleging that Ettimadai MLA Shanmugham and BJP (Youth Wing) National Vice President A P Muruganandham, have been threatening him, a sixty-four-year-old and the in-law of the latter had sought police protection.

Sundarsamy Gounder, the petitioner, who submitted a petition to the Coimbatore district collector, K Rajamani said that he is facing constant death threats from the two influential persons, but no action has been taken in this regard.
The petitioner in his petition has stated "that his daughter, who was married Muruganandham in 2009, committed suicide at her in-law's house allegedly due to harassment in 2014"
In his petition, Sundarsamy accused that he had to sell 1 acre of land for the marriage and was holding rest of the 6.5 acres land.
“ However Muruganandam using fake documents, issued by the North Tahsildar Ravi and other officials and is trying to prove himself as the legal heir of the land and trying to covet it” he alleged.
“He further accused Muruganandham of destroying his farm causing him a loss of Rs10 lakh and injuring him. Even though FIR was registered against him and four other people no action has been taken yet. MLA Shanmugham is supporting Muruganandam in all his evil designs” alleged the petitioner who sought police action against them.
