Tirupur: Members of the public have petitioned the District Collector not to block a thoroughfare to build a park in Poompuhar Nagar.

Tirupur: Members of the public have petitioned the District Collector not to block a thoroughfare to build a park in Poompuhar Nagar.

The residents of Poompuhar Nagar in Tirupur Corporation has been issued with house pattas in 1967 and presently there are over 300 families residing there.

But the Government has decided to build a public park, which the residents feel might block the "right of passage".
