Coimbatore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to premier in his first reality television show alongside adventurer and television personality Bear Grylls in an all new ‘Man Vs Wild’, show, one of the flagship programmes of the Discovery Network.
Coimbatore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to premier in his first reality television show alongside adventurer and television personality Bear Grylls in an all new ‘Man Vs Wild’ show, one of the flagship programmes of the Discovery Network.
The programme that will be aired at 9.00 pm on the 12thof August will feature Bear Grylls guiding the Indian Prime Minister across the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.
“You are the most important man in India, my job is to keep you alive,” Bear Grylls is heard saying at the end of the 45-second teaser.
Announcing the event, Bear said on Twitter, “People across 180 countries will get to see the unknown side of PM @narendramodi as he ventures into Indian wilderness to create awareness about animal conservation & environmental change. Catch Man Vs Wild with PM Modi @DiscoveryIN on August 12 @ 9 pm. #PMModionDiscovery.”
Prime Minister has also shown interests for the programme when he was approached by Discovery Network. “I have always lived close to Nature and this is another opportunity,” Modi has said according to a Hindu report.
Meanwhile, the opposition have started hitting against the Prime Minister as the shoot was done during the Pulwama attack in February.
The PM is said to have allegedly continued with the shoot despite hearing about the attack according to the opposition.
Bear Grylls has earlier hosted celebrities including former American President Barack Obama and Tennis star Roger Federer in his show.
