Tirupur : A youngster drowned in a well located on Uthukuli - Tirupur road while bathing, on Sunday,
Raja Muthukumar son of Radhakrishnan from Jeeva Nagar in Tirupur along with his friends went to bathe in a well situated in Dhanalakshmi mill on Uthukuli - Tirupur road. While those of his friends who did not know swimming stood beside the well, Raja Muthukumar jumped into the well to take bath.
After a few minutes, as Raja's freinds couldn't find him in the well, they fell suspicious and immediately alerted the police and fire station. Firefighters from North fire station in Tirupur rushed to the spot and deployed ropes to search the body.
After a long search, they retrieved him dead from the well. The police are investigating the case.
