Coimbatore: In what is a case of serial burglary, burglars struck at three shops at Boyampalayam, in Tirupur and took away Rs.3 lakhs from an onion mandi.
The burglars broke into the three shops including a hotel, a ply wood store, and an onion mandi in the wee hours of Friday.
According to Police, Meher Ali, owner of the Onion mandi at Boyampalayam found out that Rs Rs.3 lakh was stolen from the onion mandi's locker.
However, the burglars found no money kept in the hotel and plywood store.
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
