Two employees of a Pharma firm held for embezzlement of Rs.68 lakh funds

Coimbatore: Based on the complaint lodged by S.Ravichandran and his brothers, the owners of Vijay Pharmaceuticals, the City police swung into action and nabbed two employees for indulging in embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs. 68 lakhs from the Pharma firm.

Coimbatore: Based on the complaint lodged by S.Ravichandran and his brothers, the owners of Vijay Pharmaceuticals, the City police swung into action and nabbed two employees for indulging in embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs. 68 lakhs from the Pharma firm.

S.Ravichandran, a resident of Ponnurangam Road, R.S Puram and his brothers run Vijay Pharmaceuticals, a wholesale company that supplies medicines all over Tamil Nadu. About 70 employees are working in the company. 

Meanwhile, S.Ravichandran complained about two of his employees Ramachandran, S/O Murugaiyan, resident of Kammandhakudi Village, Thanjavur district and Ganesh Kumar who was working for 20 years in his company. 

In his complaint, he stated that Ramachandran used to take bulk orders from Thanjavur, Trichy, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi and other places and send the stocks and receive payments either in cash or bank transfer. 

Meanwhile, the duo, Ramachandran and Ganesh Kumar had sold medicines to few companies from 23.10.2018 to 14.05.2019 and received the payments in their bank accounts and embezzled funds of Rs 68 lakhs. 

Based on the complaint lodged by S.Ravichandran, Coimbatore Police Commissioner Sumit Sharan IPS ordered for further investigation on the case.

Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Perumal IPS, a team of police led by Asst Commissioner Chandrasekaran, Inspector J.Nagarajan, Sub Inspector K. Jamuna arrested Ramachandran on July 20 and Ganesh Kumar on 25 from his hide out.
