The police are scrutinising his phone records to ascertain the reason for his alleged suicide.
The Nilgiris: "A 32-year-old tourist allegedly committed suicide by jumping off from Lamb's rock, a tourist spot in Coonoor. The body was been retrieved", the Upper Coonoor Police said on Thursday.
The man was identified as Dinesh Babu (32) from Thanjavur. However, the reason for his alleged suicide is yet to be known, said the police.

Following the incident, Inspector Jayamurugan of Upper Coonoor Police Station along with fire and rescue department rushed to the spot to retrieve his body. The body of the tourist was spotted at a depth of 1000 feet.
After a four hour struggle, the firemen with the help of the locals rescued the body. The police are scrutinising his phone records to ascertain the reason for his alleged suicide.
