Coimbatore: A team of fire and rescue service personnel rescued a cow that fell into a 120 feet deep well on a farm land at Kanjapalli near Avinashi on Thursday.
The cow was owned by Shanmugham a farmer of Uthupalayam Village near Avinashi. Shanmugham. "All of a sudden, the cow that was grazing in the farm rushed towards the 120-feet well and jumped off", said Shanmugham. He added that all efforts by the labourers working in the farm to stop the cow ended in vain.

Shanmugham immediately alerted the fire and rescue services personnel. A team of firemen rushed to the spot. The firemen climbed down the well and tied ropes around the cow and pulled it up.
