Coimbatore: The Students Federation of India (SFI) leader, Dinesh Raja was arrested by the police for supporting over 100 CSI Boys High Secondary School students who had gathered near the District Collectorate to petition the District Collector, K Rajamani with regard to the free laptops that were promised but not given to them.
Coimbatore: The Students Federation of India (SFI) leader, Dinesh Raja was arrested by the police for supporting over 100 CSI Boys High Secondary School students who had gathered near the District Collectorate to petition the District Collector, K Rajamani with regard to the free laptops that were promised but not given to them.
The police forcibly arrested Dinesh Raja, The District President of SFI while he was addressing school students. The police denied him permission and forcibly tried to remove him fro the spot citing that he was always trying to instigate students to protest on various issues.
Despite Dinesh requesting the police to allow him to meet the Collector, he was arrested and pulled into the police vehicle. The SFI leader stated that the students had not gathered to create a problem or protest.
He demanded that the district administration should take steps to issue the laptops which had been promised but denied to these school students.
