The petitioners, who submitted a petition to the Corporation Commissioner on Wednesday said
That the sewer which is left open in their locality causing untold hardship to the local residents.
The Corporation should take steps to renovate the 15-foot deep drainage which is used as a dump yard by the residents. There is a fear of children slipping into the sewer too.
Petitioners also requested the Corporation to conduct a medical camp in Masal layout as children and women are being affected by seasonal fever.
"We have made a petition to Commissioner Sravan Kumar, regarding the drainage issue which is being a threat to residents of Masal Layout. The sewer in the area is being a threat to the local residents and children playing near the open drainage. We have submitted a petition seeking action and to conduct a medical camp", said one of the residents at Grievance day programme.
