Coimbatore: Two engineering graduates lost their life in a road accident on Tuesday after their two-wheeler collided head-on with a car in Annur, near Mettupalayam (MTP).
Coimbatore: Two engineering graduates lost their life in a road accident on Tuesday after their two-wheeler collided head-on with a car in Annur, near Mettupalayam (MTP).
Bharathiraja and Manikaraj, two engineering graduates and residents of Karamadai, were returning from Annur after visiting their friends. When their two-wheeler came near J.J Nagar in Annur, it collided with a car on the opposite direction. Both Bharathiraja and Manikaraj were thrown out of the two-wheeler and sustained severe injuries.
While Bharathiraja died on the spot, Manikaraj was rushed to a hospital in Coimbatore for treatment. However, he succumbed to the injuries in the ambulance.
Upon receiving information, the Annur police recovered the body of Bharathiraja and sent it to the Annur Government Hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
