Nowsadh, from Thalassery, Kannur in Kerala was cheated by a gang of people near PLS apartment in Tatabad, 4th Street who claimed to be middlemen and promised him to source gold for cheaper prices.
The gang cheated Rs. 13 lakhs from Nowsadh and as case was filed by Rathinapuri police.

The police on Monday arrested part of the gang members near Kanjikonampalayam in Madukkarai. The accused are identified as Siva from Palakkad, Ajith from Thrissur, Aravindan Thrissur, Padmanabhan from Rathinapuri, Kamalesh from KK Pudur, Nataraj from Thudiyalur.
The police have seized Rs. 8,40,000 cash and two cars worth Rs. 15 lakhs.
Upon inquiry, the arrested accused revealed that the robbery was planned by Kalil alias Babu, Surya alias Aravind along with Padmanabhan, Ajith and Kamalesh who impersonated themselves as Vigilance officers.

Assistant Commissioner, Somashekar, Inspector Anandh, Muthumani, Marimuthu, Sub-Inspector Irulappan, Gnanaprakasam and Mariadas with the help of CCTV footage and cell phone numbers arrested the culprits in Madukkarai.
The police are on the look out for six other absconding culprits.
