People of the area spotted the Gaur lying injured in the vicinity and informed foresters. The animal was found with serious injured on the lip and was unable to eat or drink because of the injury.
It had reportedly bit a country made bomb planted to kill wild boar. The injury left the animal fighting for its life.
A team of veterinarians were deployed to treat the animal for its injuries. However, it succumbed to its injuries.
