In one such tussle amidst Class 11 students of the Tirupur Government Boys Higher Secondary School where Computer Science students proclaimed themselves as the best of all, an irate student from the Commerce and Accountancy stream hurled a tile at a Computer Science student.
Angered by the constant boasts of Computer Science students, Vikram who studies Commerce and Accountancy called Saami Sharma from the Computer Science department and took him to an isolated corner in the school where construction materials were piled up. He then hurled a tile on Saami Sharma and also hit him on other parts of his body. Students and teachers rushed to Saami Sharma's rescue and rushed the injured boy to the Palladam Government Hospital. Vikram was taken to the Palladam police station.
Saami Sharma was administered first aid at the Palladam Government Hospital and was then sent to the Tirupur Government Hospital for further treatment. The Palladam police are investigating the case.
