Coimbatore: District Collector K.Rajamani, on Saturday inspected the infrastructural upgradation works carried out in Vellalore and Othakalmandapam Panchayats.
The Collector was accompanied by Asst Director (Panchayats) Dwarakanath Singh, Asst Executive Engineer Raja, Asst Engineer Ramasamy, Executive officers Sasikala, Ibrahim Shah.
Various infrastructural and basic structural works are being carried out for the benefit of people living in rural and urban areas, under the Integrated Urban Development Plan by the Dept of Local Govt.
Constructing water tanks, drinking water pipes, rainwater drainage, roads, street lighting, etc. are some of the works being carried out at Panchayat levels.
District Collector inspected the works at Gandhi Nagar, R.N.K Nagar and L.G Nagar phase III of Vellalore Panchayat and Poonga Nagar, Balaji Garden, Kandasamy gounder layout, Pappe Gounder street and Murugan Nagar of
Othakalmandapam Panchayat.
He also supervised the ongoing 3 km road stretch which is been carried out at a cost of Rs.1.5 crores and relaying of roads for 2,500 metres estimating of Rs. 1.2 crores in Othakalmandapam Panchayat, under the Integrated Urban Road Development Plan.
