Coimbatore : Retired bank officials staged a dharna near Tatabad demanding pension benefits equal to that of Government officials, and demanded other benefits including 30% increase in family pension, insurance premium to be paid by the respective banks.
MP Natarajan, who participated in the dharna while addressing the press said that the Central Government has to extend pension benefits to bank employees on par with the Government officials.
He also said that the Government must take prompt action against water bodies encroachment and land encroachment in the city limits.
Natarajan condemned inclusion of Hindi in government school bio-metric register and strictly opposed the three language formula. He also urged that the state Government should protest against the imposition three language formula.
