Addressing the media, on behalf of the union affiliated to AITUC, he said “Around 684 members are registered in this union. Meanwhile, Coimbatore district Pricol workers will be getting an increment of Rs.5400 for the five consecutive years. And, they will be benefited every year with an additional amount of Rs.1002 towards Dearness Allowances.”

"The family of the union members are covered under the medical insurance policy for Rs.1.5 lakh. Further emergency Medical expenses will be increased from Rs.50, 000 to Rs.75000", he added.
“The retired employees are entitled to receive 27.5 days salary for every completed year of service, as against Government stipulated 15 days for every year", he said.
He reiterated that this new settlement under the high fragile business situation will promote cordial relationship between workmen and management. "The workmen are ready to extend their fullest cooperation to ensure congenial workplace and support the operations to be stabilized at Coimbatore” he said.
Coimbatore district Pricol workers union President Udayakumar, Secretary, Anand Raj, Treasurer, Ramesh Babu were present during the press briefing on Thursday.
