Ganapathi (30) was working as a manager in a private textile industry in Thekkalur, Avinashi. He was residing at a rented house at Vinayagar village, Sembiyanallur, Avinashi block, Tirupur along with his wife Jayamani (27) and daughter Subha Varshini (3).
Meanwhile, when Ganapathi was returning home in his two-wheeler from work on Wednesday, a unknown man stabbed Ganapathi with a knife near his house at Sembiyanallur and fled the spot.
Upon hearing Ganapathi's call for help, the residents rushed to rescue him who was in a pool of blood. The public sent him to Avinashi Government Hospital through a 108 ambulance.
As Ganapathi suffered severe injuries in more than ten places in his body including chest, abdomen and spine, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Avinashi Police have commenced the investigation. The knife used to murder has been seized. Investigations are on to nab the murderer.
