As per the guidelines of the Supreme Court, the Police cannot make arrests inside the Court complex. In this scenario, the Race Course police attempted to forcibly arrest a mother and son who came to the Court today. According to police, the duo are suspected to be involved in a robbery case.
Citing the Madars High Court order which reitrated that arrests inside the Court will not be tolerated, the lawyers present at the Court here condemned the move by the Police and foiled the arrest attempt.
As the Police tried to forcefully push the duo inside the van, the mother and the son sat on the road and protested against the police. Moreover, the woman was dragged by policemen instead of women police, which further aggravated the situation.
