One such novel and sophisticated scams to deceive and extort money from job seekers has been busted in the city. Three fraudsters have been arrested for cheating several youngsters on the pretext of getting fancy jobs in the US.
The racket came to light after the American Consulate informed the City Police Commissioner of fraudsters who have been falsely issuing letters in the name of American Consulate to youngsters who seek jobs abroad.
Arunkumar from Kuniamuthur, Niwaz from Edayarpalayam and Ashok from Indira Nagar here have been luring youngsters to get them jobs in the US and other countries. They have been running a company named 'Smart International' at Edayarpalayam and Kuniamuthur here.
Upon orders fromSumit Saran, City Police Commissioner, the Kuniamuthur Police today arrested the three fraudsters. Investigations are on to ascertain their network and how many people have fallen prey to their fake promises.
