Coimbatore : Over 150 members from 16 pan-India FLO Chapters – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Mumbai North East and Pune will be part of the two day governing body meeting of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO).
Coimbatore : Over 150 members from 16 pan-India FLO Chapters – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Mumbai North East and Pune will be part of the two day governing body meeting of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO).
FLO is the women’s wing of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry with pan India Chapters representing women entrepreneurs and professionals.
FLO organized a press meet on Wednesday here which was hosted by the Coimbatore Chapter headed by Harjinder Kaur Talwar, National President of FLO.
Addressing the media, the National President of FLO said “Every year, we provide ample opportunities for pan India members to connect and establish a common network for experience sharing, showcasing, mentoring and networking. Our objective is to bring together women entrepreneurs and professionals from Delhi and 16 Chapters across India and provide a perfect milieu for exchange of ideas and meeting of the minds. Our endeavour is to develop the wisdom to lead; coming together as strong voice for and by women.”
Poonam Bafna, Chairperson of FLO Coimbatore Chapter said, “Coimbatore has always been a city of enterprise; it was a city built on entrepreneurship. It is also more significant that the national startup community see Coimbatore as an emerging startup hub. One in every two electric pumps and motors manufactured in India are from Coimbatore. It is no surprise that as the city that invented the wet grinder, holds 75 per cent of the market share. When it comes to competitive entrepreneurship and innovation, women in Coimbatore have grabbed a significant foothold in various industries and services. FLO looks forward to do a lot further in the direction of women empowerment through entrepreneurship development.”
She added that FLO represents over 6800 women entrepreneurs and professionals. With over 36 years of experience, FLO has been promoting entrepreneurship and professional excellence among women through workshops, seminars, conferences, training and capacity building programmers etc.
