Coimbatore : Following the Centre’s announcement that the written exam for postal recruitments would be held in Tamil too, the advocates from the city celebrated the announcement by distributing sweets to the public in front of the Integrated District Court complex here on Wednesday.
Coimbatore : Following the Centre’s announcement that the written exam for postal recruitments would be held in Tamil too, the advocates from the city celebrated the announcement by distributing sweets to the public in front of the Integrated District Court complex here on Wednesday.
The Rajyasabha was adjourned thrice today during the pre-lunch sessions, over the issue to conduct the postal department exams in Tamil, following which Union Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad announced in the Parliament that the exam held on Sunday would be annulled, and new dates for the exam would be announced.
“The exam would be conducted with Tamil as one of the mediums of test” Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
The news has brought cheers to Tamil Nadu and is seen as a victory of sorts for the combined efforts of all party MPs in the Parliament.
