On Tuesday evening, when Balan was grazing his sheeps near a forest patch he was attacked by a wild elephant and died on the spot. As he did not return home, hi villagers grew suspicious and launched a search for him.
This morning, they found his body inside the forest area with wounds.
Police and forest officials arrived to the spot and recovered his body, which was sent for post mortem.
