The Nilgiris : A 8-year-old male bear was found dead in Sunnyside tea estate in Kaikatti, Coonoor in Nilgiris on Wednesday.
The Nilgiris : A 8-year-old male bear was found dead in Sunnyside tea estate in Kaikatti, Coonoor in Nilgiris on Wednesday.
The bear is reported to have strayed into the estate for food and water, later was found dead. The carcass has been sent for postmortem to determine whether the bear died of ailments or because of feeding on leaves sprayed with pesticides.
Forest Officer Saravanan said that the cause of death will be revealed after the postmortem report.
