Tirupur: Condemning the Corporation for not addressing the environmental degradation, the cadres of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) staged a demonstration in front of the Tirupur Corporation office on Wednesday.
Tirupur: Condemning the Corporation for not addressing the environmental degradation, the cadres of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) staged a demonstration in front of the Tirupur Corporation office on Wednesday.
The protestors accused that the Tirupur Corporation has not assigned sanitary workers in 60 wards, thus leading to piling up of garbage.
"The Tirupur Corporation is paving way for disease spreading germs to breed. Clogged drainages, uncleared wastes, roads filled with potholes has left the City in a bad state", they alleged.
They also pointed that all the arterial roads are filled with potholes posing serious threat to the motorists.
The protesting cadres accused the Corporation of their inaction in fulfilling the basic necessities of the citizens. They also condemned the hike in housing tax imposed by the Corporation.
