Man attacked by Gaur near Pillur

Coimbatore: A 60-year-old man was attacked by a Gaur at his farm near Pillur reservoir on Tuesday evening.

Coimbatore: A 60-year-old man was attacked by a Gaur at his farm near Pillur reservoir on Tuesday evening.

The victim identified as R. Maruthan from Kandi Athikadavu was working in his farm around 6.30 pm when an Gaur approached his farm.

As he was not able to move away swiftly from the spot, he was attacked by the animal and fell on the spot. 

Since he did not return from work, a search party was sent after him only to find him lying motionless with scratches all over his body. 

He was immediately shifted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for further treatment. Presently, he is said to be in a stable condition.
