The Nilgiris : Ooty, Coonoor and other parts of the Nilgiris district have been experiencing widespread rains in the afternoons, the past three days. 



Owing to this, most tourist spots like the Government Botanical Garden and the Doddabetta Peak wore a deserted look, with tourists being forced to stay indoors in their hotels. Tourists visit Nilgiris even during the monsoon season to experience the cold weather, but the heavy rains have left them disappointed.
