Coimbatore : As the public were finding it difficult to identify ordinary fare and luxury fare buses operated by the TNSTC, the TNSTC Coimbatore division has announced that stickers indicating fares will be stuck at prominent places in the buses.
In a press release, Anbu Abaraham, Managing Director of Coimbatore divison of TNSTC has said that there were two types of buses operated -- ordinary fare buses and the Super Low Floor (SLF) luxury buses.
As people were finding it difficult to differentiate between ordinary fare buses and SLF buses, he said it was decided to stick stickers reading "Ordinary fare with minimum fare Rs.5" on both front and rear mirror of the bus with effect from July 1, 2019.
He also said that the move has increased the passenger footfalls in the ordinary fare buses.
