The carcass of a male tiger aged about 9-10 was found in the Parson's valley near Mukurthi dam area. The locals alerted the forest department of the carcass who arrived to the spot and conducted a post mortem examination.
The District Forest Officer, Nilgiris Range, Gurusamy Dabbala said that the cause of death can be confirmed based on the post mortem reports.He further added that investigations will commence on the death of the tiger.
