Coimbatore: Meena Logu, the former MC of 49th circle petitioned the District Collector today, urging for the construction work of the flyover in Rathnapuri to be speeded up for public use.
After petitioning the District Collector, Meena Logu told the reporters that in a day, over 60 trains operate from Coimbatore to Chennai and hence to east congestion, a flyover was to be constructed on the orders of the Government and work was underway since 2009.
The former MP, Meena Logu noted that though the flyover was not yet inaugurated officially, people had started using the flyover but the construction of connecting roads, rain gutters, sewers and pavements had not begun yet. Hence, Meena Logu had decided to petition the District administration to take immediate action to expedite the process since the public and school students were being inconvenienced daily.
