Murali Kannan from Sulur here along with his colleagues Swarnamoorthy, Nataraj, Sudharsan, Balachandran and Suresh were travelling to Karaikal in a car from Tirupur.
On Saturday night, when the car reached near Velappanaickenvalasu Pirivu, it lost control and collided head on with a government bus enroute from Trichy to Tirupur.
In the accident, Murali Kannan, Nataraj, Sudharsan and Swarnamoorthy died on the spot. While, Balanchandran and Suresh were rushed to Kankeyam Government Hospital.
Later, they were shifted to Coimbatore GH for further treatment.
