The Nilgiris: Over 300 school students took part in the district level chess tournament organised in Ooty on Saturday.
The Nilgiris: Over 300 school students took part in the district level chess tournament organised in Ooty on Saturday.
“The tournament was held under three categories for which the response was excellent. Particularly students from Government-run schools have taken part in large numbers in the tournament which is heartening” said the organizers.
The District Chess Association has made arrangements for the winners in this tournament to take part in the state level meet to be held shortly.
Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners in each category.
