Coimbatore: Congress party cadres staged a protest accusing the Narendra Modi Government of being dictatorial and fascist with the sole intention of ensuring that BJP should be the only party ruling both at the Centre and across every State in India.

Congress cadres across all the districts of Tamil Nadu are staging the protest, accusing the BJP party of slaughtering democracy by horse-trading members of the Congress-allied partiesand the Janata Dal (Secular) who were elected by the people of Karnataka.
Condemning this, a protest was staged on behalf of the District Congress Party led by the party's working President Mayura Jayakumar in front of the South Taluk Office.

Similarly, a demonstration was also staged in Gandhi Park led by the Coimbatore North District Leader, VMC Manoharan. Over 100 people participated in the protest and raised slogans against the Central Government.
