Kumar from Kullakapalayam, Pollachi was an alcoholic and used to have frequent quarrels with his wife, Uma Maheshwari (36) over his addiction. On January 2016, Kumar and his wife had a domestic quarrel, the enraged accused poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze.
The case has been ongoing at the District Court here. Today, at the final hearing the Justice pronounced him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs. 1000.
