In his report, the CM said, "With Coimbatore being the second largest Corporation in Tamil Nadu, traffic congestion increases day by day. The late former Tamil Nadu CM, J Jayalalithaa proposed an integrated bus stand in Vellalore to ease traffic issues in the city. As per Amma's orders, the works for the Integrated Vellalore Bus Stand will begin this financial year in an area of 61.62 acres of land at a budget of 178.26 crores, with funds from the Government as well as private infrastructural companies."
The CM also added that in districts like Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem and Trichy, industry sewage will be prevented from mixing into water sources and will instead be recycled and used in industries, or will be used for ground water table enrichment. He said a team will be appointed for ground study and create a plan for execution.
"Six Government care homes will be merged with 16 appropriate juvenile care homes in different districts through video conferencing. This will be executed in a budget of Rs.2.6 crores by ELCOT," added the CM.
