Coimbatore: MP of Pollachi Constituency K.Shanmuga Sundaram met Prahlad S Patel, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture and proposed to include Valparai as an international tourist destination.
The MP in his tweet said "The positive aspects of Anaimalai, Valparai of Pollachi Constituency was highlighted to the Ministry. The growth of the tourism industry was discussed with Union MoS for Tourism and Culture, Prahlad S Patel at the Parliament house."
He had also asked the Union Minister to add Pollachi and Valparai on Indian Tourism Department website (Incredible India) and to depute a delegation of officials headed by the Secretary of the Central Government's Tourism Department to visit Valparai.
"I'm pleased to announce that after a lengthy discussion, the Minister has agreed to send the delegation" tweeted MP Shanmuga Sundaram.
